Completely self-taught, Eli creates odd and slightly gothic worlds with her hands & traditional tools. Fascinated since early childhood with ghostly tales, myths & fairy stories, her illustrations, with their strange inhabitants exist in that subtle, off-kilter almost sinister element to be found in any good folk tale.

Her artistic influences incorporate the folk lore of the British Isles, Modern English Village’s, the Regency and Victorian era's, the texture of India, the 1920-30’s & Old World Eastern Europe.
